Baking Up Nice Surprises (BUNS)

The Baking Up Nice Surprises (BUNS) bakers of CNS Home Health & Hospice were busy in May.  A record 181 bags were delivered to patients in the Hospice, Palliative care and Geriatric Assistance Programs. Started in 2003, BUNS takes place in May and October, when volunteer provide baked goods for patients. More volunteers, from schools, scout troops and local families, decorate hundreds of bags for the goodies, which are then packed and delivered by yet more volunteers. Thanks to the work of so many dedicated helpers, BUNS is able to provide a special treat to those dealing with a serious illness. If you’d like to learn more or get involved, please call 630-933-7329.
