Bereavement Program

CNS Hospice provides education and support to people experiencing grief. Acknowledging the many dimensions of grief and providing an environment which encourages the expression of grief can enable people to reconcile their losses and move forward in life.

Bereavement services are available free for 13 months after the loss of a loved one. Involvement in Hospice care prior to the loss is not a requirement.

Visit with Bereavement Facilitator

The bereaved shares the story of the loss, explores and expresses thoughts and feelings of grief, and better understands the grief experience. (These visits help determine the ongoing need for support.)

Volunteer Support

Volunteers trained to listen, facilitate the expression of grief, and provide emotional support are available for continued calls and visits for 13 months.
