Bath Program |
CNS Home Health offers a one-hour bath
service on a private pay basis for patients in need of personal care.
During the initial appointment, a CNS Home Health RN obtains a health
history, assesses the current health status, and coordinates the contract
signing. Services are offered Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to
4 p.m. The bath service includes:

Vital signs (checked each
visit)

Bathing (bed bath, sponge
bath--with foot soak, tub bath, shower)

Shampoo and style (comb,
brush, set hair--in bed, sink or tub)

Shave (electric or safety
razor)
-
Skin Care (apply powder/lotions)
-
Nail Care (soak, clean
and file fingernails--Home Care Aide is NOT permitted to
cut toenails)

Dressing Assistance
-
Elimination Assistance
(bathroom, bedpan, urinal, commode, Texas or Foley catheter care,
enemas-fleets or regular bag enemas, application of ostomy appliance)

Activity Assistance (ROM-active
and passive, repositioning, transfers to bed and chair, ambulation
with assistive devices, hoyer lift)

Making Occupied or Unoccupied
bed
-
Tidy Sick Room or Bathroom
